Events: 2012-2013 Throughout the year we hold several social events. Some of these are fundraisers for the school while others are just a great opportunity for families and friends from all 3 classes to get together and have fun outside of the school setting. A few of these events include: Family Fun Night (held late fall), Ice Cream Social/Movie Night (held late winter), and the Bike Parade on the Common (held late spring). In school, the children have fun with different themed events such as picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, and pajama day. They also enjoy "specials" such as cooking with Chef Combo our hand puppet and music enrichment with Miss Jan of Apple Tree Arts. Go to our "photos" link to see more pictures related to these school activities. Family Movie Night and Ice Cream Social: March 1, 2013 We had a great turnout for our annual Family Movie Night and Ice Cream Social. Held in the meeting hall upstairs from the school, the students and their families were treated to make your own sundaes (served by their teachers) and an hour of Disney Classic Movies. Many of the children wore their pajamas, and spread out on their blankets with their friends. It was a nice evening for the children to be with their friends in a social setting, and their parents to meet some of the parents of their children's friends. A great time was had by all! Bike Parade and Family Picnic: Sunday, May 19th 1-3pm Mark your calendars for our annual Bike Parade and Family Picnic on the Common. This is a fun afternoon for all. We begin with games and activities for the children and end with a bike parade down the sidewalk of the common. Pack a few snacks or a picnic and spend the afternoon with your family. Start thinking of creative ways to decorate your child's bike!
| Family Fun Night: Dec. 6, 2012 The first of our events for the 2013-2014 school year, Family Fun Night was a huge success! Families and friends of the Playschool gathered together for an evening of fun. Mr. Kim of Apple Tree Arts entertained the preschoolers and their families while the parents and teachers snacked on refreshments and bid on the many wonderful items featured in the silent auction. We raised over $1900 for the school! Mr. Kim entertains the crowd with music and puppets Many terrific items were donated by neighboring businesses in support of Family Fun Night.
